The lights are on
EA is the latest big publisher to offer a slate of back catalog titles for not a lot of money. EA's Humble Origin Bundle includes up to eight titles, if you beat the average.
You can pay what you want and walk away with:
The average buy sits at $4.56 as of publication. Paying more than that will get you Battlefield 3 and The Sims 3 plus the Starter Pack. Both of those are only available on Origin.
EA is not taking a cut of the proceeds, but you can choose to split your funds among five charities and contribute to the Humble fund, which keeps these bundles alive.
You can read all the details on the official site. The bundle offer expires on August 28, 2013.
Our TakeKudos to EA for declining to take a cut of the profits from this Humble Bundle. The assortment of titles is largely good, with some even truly superb. Dead Space 2 is a notable omission, but as there's always room for more titles to be added, I wouldn't be surprised to see it pop up next week.
That's pretty damn awesome.
ohh wow, the sad part is that i already own all of this titles.... :(. But it is good for those who dont.
If they want more people to use Origin, this is a good way to do it.
Good deals.
I wish I had a computer that could run at least one of these games.
Not bad EA, not bad at all. This is a good way to get some good PR.
just bought it its pretty cool I did it for edge and crysis
My god that's quite generous of EA- probably the most generous they've ever been. Props to them.
Well the only one I am super interested in is Mirror's Edge, and I already own it both on PC and PS3, haha. We'll see if they add something later that I want.
