Hidden throughout Pikmin 3 are ten secret memos that players can find during the story mode. At first glance, these little confounding notes might not appear to be much. However, famed Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto has revealed that they are a pieces of a puzzle.

NeoGAF user Jaded Alyx captured the following image that Miyamoto posted on Miiverse.

Have you found any of the memos? Any ideas about what the big secret might be? Let us know in the comments (and be sure to read our glowing review of Pikmin 3).

Our Take
I played Pikmin for the first time this year on the Wii (New Play Control version). I had a hard time getting into it, and had planned to skip Pikmin 3 (which looks absolutely gorgeous).

For me, this kind of hidden meta-puzzle is a throwback to everything I love about Miyamoto's earlier work. I love the tease, I love that there is mystery buried deep, and I love being reminded about why Miyamoto is one of the greatest this industry has ever seen.
