The lights are on
A major Japanese printing company, recognizing the popularity of the 3DS, is bringing e-book software to the handheld gaming system.
Dai Nippon Printing is planning on focusing the software and its related books towards children, the main owners of 3DSs. The software will be free to download, and the books will be somewhat cheaper than their printed counterparts.
The software will be available in Japan this fall.

If it has a good inventory, I'm in.
Wasn't the eBook service supposed to come to U.S.A. a while back?
I own the original 3DS...I can't imagine me wanting to read a book on that tiny ass screen. Looks great on the XL, though.
O.O
LOCALIZE IT.
Please come to America!
come to US! NOW!
I don't know about this. Shutting down the system when you're done reading isn't quite as satisfying is slamming a book shut.
Actually... a long time ago... a company said they were gonna release a manga reading app for 3DS... Where the heck is that? Hahah and I do hope this app comes to America!
how would a gamer read an e-book on an 3ds (not xl)
I'm so glad I live in Japan. Oh wait, nope, California.
Well, this would be good for anybody who wants to read books on their 3DS. I'm not really interested in it, though.
It looks great! I hope it comes to America some time!
