The lights are on
Today's Xbox One presentation was light on games, but it sounds like Microsoft has surprises up its sleeves for E3. Speaking with Polygon, Microsoft's Studios corporate vice president Phil Spencer confirmed that one of Rare's established franchises will be making an appearance at E3 this year for Xbox One.
Spencer said, "Fans of Rare and Rare IP I think will be pleased with what we're going to show at E3," and followed up saying, "That historic IP that they've built I think can play a real important role on Xbox One."
Rare owns a number of IPs and franchises including Banjo-Kazooie, Conker, Perfect Dark, Viva Pinata, Kameo, and it recently renewed the trademark for Killer Instinct.

Traditional Banjo Kazooie, Please? Pretty pretty please?
omg Banjo Nuts and Bolts 2! Just what nobody ever wanted!
PLEASE be Killer Instinct!
Would all but have to be Banjo, or (I think more likely) Perfect Dark.
Though I won't lie... I wish it was Viva Pinata. For some reason, i really liked those games.
I can see it now...E3, Microsoft press conference, air electric with anticipation, lights go down, everyone quiet. Voiceover from Morgan Freeman saying "Ladies and Gentlemen, the moment you have all been waiting for, the return of a gaming legend in a new and exciting game from Rare, only for the xbox One. Ladies and Gentlemen, i give you...." Fireworks, smoke, lights. And out of it all, there he is, Bill Gates in a squirrel's outfit. It's Conker! But, wait, what is he holding? The box for the game? What does it say? Gates holds up the game for everyone to see. "Conker's Bad Fur Day: Nuts and Bolts" The crowd silences. Nothing moves for more than a minute. Then, one fan stands up and screams! Others follows suit. Things escalate. Gates is escorted off stage. The fans and press are rioting. They burn down the entire convention center. Hundreds die, even more injured.
This is what will happen at E3.
Rare is still around? Who knew? I thought Microsoft bought them and killed them.
I'm actually sad because I don't want to see Rare's name dragged through the mud any further. There's no reasons to be "pleased" because expectations are so low.
Of all these I think Killer Instinct would be the most exciting to see make a come back.
good. i sincerely hope (for their sake, as well as gamers) there will be more games shown at e3.
Killer Instinct was awesome.
Lol! GI thinks it's going to be Banjo. It'll probably be another Perfect Dark.
Banjo Threeie, Perfect Dark 3, Conker 2, and Killer Instinct would be able to make me overlook the used games thing. Please Rare, do this right.
This had better be good.
Crap, well if Banjo is only going to be on the new Xbox, my wife might have me go out and buy it after all.
Banjo-Kazooie or Conker would be AWESOME!
Unfortunately it'll probably be Killer Instinct :/
