The lights are on
Payday 2 is expanding beyond digital distribution. It's now getting a physical release on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and it's coming in a few months.
Payday 2, the sequel to Payday: The Heist (read the review for that game here), was originally announced as a download only title, but that's not longer the case. Payday 2 is getting a physical retail release, and it will be releasing in August.

Nice, I really liked the first one, but thought it seemed a little bare bones. It was a great premise for a game, though. Hopefully, the second one fleshes out the framework a little more.
I was always very positive for the first game, even though playing alone feels like your being locked up in a jail cell with no food. I hope the AI in this one is significantly improved, and perhaps a plot that, at least, makes some form of sense. I always really liked the first title's presentation and ideas, but the gameplay always felt.. meh.
The first was a very pleasant surprise. I'm sure the sequel will be good to.
Interesting.
Interesting, but I will most likely still download it. I did have fun with the original. It was a little bare, but still neat to play.
I'm definitely going to be talking this one down my friend's throats for the 360. I bought the first one during a Steam sale, but my brother isn't a PC gamer and I couldn't convince my other 2 [serious] gaming friends to get it for full price.
Hopefully the console version will change their mind.
