The lights are on
Lionhead has announced that John Needham has been appointed as studio head of the company, a position that was left vacant following Peter Molyneux's departure last year. In Needham's new position, the former CEO of Cryptic Studios and Gazillion Entertainment will be reporting directly to Microsoft's Phil Harrison.
"This is a historic time in our industry and I’m excited, and honored, to be joining Lionhead and Microsoft Studios," John wrote on the company's web site. “Our vision is focused on building innovative gaming services and AAA experiences at Lionhead, and the rest of Microsoft Studios, which take advantage of Microsoft’s incredible hardware and software platforms. Personally, I can’t wait to get started.”
Lionhead has gone quiet since the October release of the Kinect-powered game Fable: The Journey. Perhaps we'll hear something as the studio's parent company, Microsoft, starts talking about the Xbox 360's successor.

I hope they're working on a new IP, or another Black and White title. I'm glad that the studio's getting new leadership.
I hope they make a new IP for the new Xbox console, as much as I like Fable I feel they should move on to something new. Then again another Black and White would be awesome. Or perhaps even a return to the BC game they were making years ago. I was really looking forward to that game before it was canceled, perhaps with the improved technology of the new console they could fully realize that concept.
Good luck overcoming the massive disappointment the company became.
Now let the production of Fable IV commence!
Fable 4 would be very welcome news.
Well congrats and good luck to John Needham! Let's hope he can do some great things at Lionhead.
Hmm, I just wonder if they can top Ser Molyneux's promises and inevitable letdowns.
Lets hope he changes things for the better , molyneux had some great ideas but he always fell short
Does this mean we finally get a decent sequel to Fable 3? Because At The Edge of the World left my on a total cliffhanger and The Journey really didn't do much except make a new Theresa.
I've thought about getting an Xbox 360 over the past few years but at this point I'm lacking extra money and space; In case I did have one I would so check out the Fable series. ^_^
I hope they make a new Black and White. I loved the first one, but the second one wasn't that great. There's nothing quite like sacrificing a dozen children and hurling fireballs at everyone that would oppose you...
