The lights are on
Earlier this month, images of a new Pokémon with a striking resemblance to Mewtwo appeared online, sparking debate over who or what this new Mewtwo is. A short video clip from Pokémon Company International may answer your questions, or stoke the debate fire.
This new Pokémon is certainly a form of Mewtwo, but I'm still confused as to whether this a whole new Mewtwo. It could be a Pichu/Pikachu situation, with this Mewtwo being a previously undiscovered prior evolution of Mewtwo.
In any case, we'll find out more when Pokémon X and Y releases later this year. Check out the clip below, and be sure to share your theories in the comments below.

The obvious next step would be Mewthree.
Just looks like Mewtwo is pulling a Deoxys on us.
So if Mewtwo has two forms... and was created from Mew's DNA...
Will we be seeing an alternate Mew form aswell?
It makes an odd kind of sense that a genetically deformed/modified clone of a non-evolutionary pokemon become capable of an evolution or forced physical change through psychic ability. If that was the case, then Mewtwo given his own self awareness could merit even more alternative forms. Altering Mewtwo in this way allows them to tap into even more bizarre pokemon forms for normally singular status pokemon that don't have a baby option already created like Lugia, Latios, and Latias.
what the hell did i just see
Kid Mewtwo!
darn you nintendo stop giving old pokemon new forms just make new ones, mewthree would of been awesome...a new form a mewtwo is just stupid im sick of forms
I'm still sticking with the evolved form of the original Mew.
I'm thinking Mewthree LOL
maybe since Mewtwo was genetically made, this is an actual true evolution of the original mew, making this a legitimate Mewtwo.
Perhaps even a forced evolution somehow?
It'd be cool if it was a form Mewtwo could shift between at will. Like offense vs. defense; it could be a power that, when used during battle, would turn Mewtwo into this new form, which has access to a Revert ability along with three other powers. That'd be sick...
Unfortunately, it's probably just a new evolution. They could've done a better job with the design, though. He looks kinda stupid.
The problem with pokemon forms is that they only change forms under very specific conditions. In some cases, those conditions are limited to special events, so the only reason for the form to exist in the first place is to promote the special event. The result is that the entire canon of the Pokemon universe is changed for one single promotion. If it were very limited (like in the case of one or two pokemon), there wouldn't be a problem with it. Unfortunately, there are several of these each generation, so the number of these special forms that you'll only get a couple of chances to see in your life keep adding up.
I suppose it is the mew three right? =p
Looks like an evolution, but that just seems ridiculous.
I just can't stop thinking about DBZ when I see this. I hope Mewtwo says his power level is over 1 million!
WHAT! I was thinking maybe Mewthree. Like, they attempted to clone mew again, and thus got mewthree. but now I have no idea. the original mewtwo design is awesome, so I don't know why they would feel the need to do a redesign. The video seems to suggest either a evolution, or something like super-san mode or something. Like, "this isn't even my final form!" crap.
