The lights are on
FarmVille, the addictive farming simulation game, is moving on to bigger pastures...on the small screen.
Today it was announced that Brett Ratner, producer to TV series such as Prison Break and 21, has signed on with Six Eleven Media to produce an animated series based off the social media game. Who said farming couldn't be entertaining?
No specific details have been released yet on how they plan to create a plot based off a farming sim, and no network has been attached to the project.
Ratner just wrapped up directing the new Dwayne Johnson movie, entitled Hercules: The Thracian Wars, so this is a huge departure from what we've seen him do.
But with a sequel releasing just last fall and now a TV show potentially on the horizon, Farmville is hardly slowing down.
Do you think this is a risky venture? Would you watch just to see how it pans out?

All of my WHY
Why God, why?

If the following was changed I would watch the hell out of this:
FarmVille => Harvest Moon
Animated => Anime (or whatever style is similar to HM art)
wait... WTF?!
Kids will love it, Brett knows a gold mine when he sees one!
HA!
No. No. No. No. No. No. Troll. No.
I thought they were losing users though. Who is this meant to appeal to? Most "adults" aren't gonna watch a cartoon unless it has Dick jokes, and most kids have better taste in games.
He must be as bored as the dude in the image.
