The lights are on
You forgot about Starhawk, didn't you? The multiplayer-focused shooter/flight war game from Sony and Lightbox Interactive released back in May, and apparently found a dedicated community despite a generally mixed reception. If you aren't a part of that community yet, the recently announced pricing structure might be the incentive you need.
On Sept. 25, Starhawk version 1.04 – which brings a bunch of tweaks and new gameplay modes – goes live. The PlayStation Blog has all the details (including the specific changes), but here's the most interesting part: Starting Sept. 25, the pricing model for Starhawk changes. If you're a PlayStation Plus member, you can get the single-player campaign for free. If you want to just play multiplayer, the price is $19.99. If you want the whole package, you can shell out the full $39.99.
Of course, people who already own the game won't benefit from the three-way split of ways to buy it, but they may benefit from an influx of new players who were curious about multiplayer but wary about paying full price.

That's pretty neat. I wish more games would do that kind of pricing structure when the game is first released. I'm sure for games like Call of Duty, the multiplayer would be the more expensive bit because more people play that than the story.
Not real big on RTS but I got some buddies who are relly into this one and i'm starting to see why. Very attractive graphics and game play looks smooth and efficient. I wonder what the back story is like
Might give it a try, if I can fit it in.
cool.
I might be interested in free.
Really curious. I'm a little concerned about the learning curve and going in so late to multiplayer. Tried getting into Warhawk a few years back and found it impenetrable for newbie like me.
I preordered the game, thoroughly enjoyed the multiplayer. Very fun, I hope we do get more players in, and I hope it did well enough to spawn another entry.
never got into it :/
kinda of what they did for Fight Night 4? I like it. I don't care for single player so why make me pay for it.
So, PS+ members can download the single player for free and the multiplayer for $19.99, making the whole experience just $19.99? That's a sweet deal.
Looks like I'll buy the multiplayer. I've been wanting this game, just waited for the price to drop.
I really never had interest in Starhawk, but this is a good idea from Lightbox.
Misread that as discontinued. Discounted is better.
good idea. That's a smart model for their type of game
eh i may try it since i get it free at least the single player.
