The lights are on
Masahiro Sakurai, director of the upcoming Wii U and 3DS Super Smash Bros. games revealed a new Animal Crossing stage for the 3DS version. Sakurai posted a picture of the stage on the official Smash Bros. site.
The stage is titled Tortimer Island, a location first introduced in Animal Crossing: New Leaf, and will include a new feature in the Smash Bros. series. Sakurai wrote that fighters will be “placed on a different island layout every time they visit.”
Sakurai posts at least one picture every weekday of the next Super Smash Bros. titles as development continues. A Super Smash Bros. Miiverse fansite compiles all of Sakurai’s posts, if you’re having a tough time tracking down past pictures.

Wow, a different island layout every time they visit? Dang, that dynamic's impressive. I wanna see the one that has a Tortimer colossus on it. :P
Hahah nice. I'm getting both versions so this is all good news for me.
That's awesome! Though I'd rather see the headline say "Super Smash Bros. 3DS Gets Release Date".
That's awesome, but I release date would be even better.
A randomly-generated stage would be kind of cool.
Sounds great, hoping for friend-codeless online play for 3DS version.
Really hope this version plays good. It's likely the only version of the game I'll be playing for a long time before I get my Wii U.
I must admit the 3DS version is looking more appealing, but it's still got nothing on the Wii U version.
I want to support this but I feel like the 3ds version won't hold a candle to the Wii u version. But Id love to be wrong :)
I love the look of the water; the waves give it a nice touch. I'm super excited to play both versions.
That looks great! I can't wait to get it!
