Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth

New Persona Q Trailers Introduce The Familiar Cast

Atlus has released a handful of new trailers for Persona Q, the upcoming 3DS persona game, each highlighting familiar characters that appeared in Persona 3 and 4.

The first two trailers show Persona 3's named by the player silent protagonist and Kirijo Mitsuru.

The second set of trailers introduce Persona 4's protagonist and Yosuke Hanamura.

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth combines the casts of Persona 3 and 4, converting them to the cute chibi forms seen in the trailers above, as they explore a mysterious and dangerous labyrinth. The game was announced alongside three other Persona titles in November, one of which is Persona 5. None of the titles have been confirmed for North America, yet.

Persona Q releases in Japan on June 5. For more on the game, head here.

  • I am going to cry if this game doesn't see an American release.
  • I just wish it wasn't chibi style.
  • I wish this was coming to Vita too. I'm also really excited for a confirmation of a NA release. But I absolutely love the art style.
  • It's really strange to hear Charlie Tunoku so chatty...
  • Mod

Good GOD I'M SO EXCITED! I really like how both protagonists are voiced here. But it's weird that you still have to name them.

  • Yosuke's Japanese voice is awful. Its so DEEP!! Yuri Lowenthal's Yosuke actually sounds like a teenager. The Jap one sounds like a 40 year old bloke. I cant say I care for P4 protagonist's voice acting either. Even Kirijo sounds like a mature woman with some serious girl balls.

The persona series is such a narrative driven series I dont think I will be playing this unless there is an English dub with preferably the original or at least younger sounding actors.

I know I'm not the one who decides how their characters sound, but I doubt I would've played the games with the supposedly teen characters, who all sound so middle aged.

  • This game looks amazing I'm hoping Atlus will bring this over to the states. There only one thing that I don't like about the trailers and that's Kirijo's and Hanamura's voices IMHO they sound terrible I don't think I could play a game with voices like that. Though I guess it must be common in Japanese to have those deep voices since I haven't played a Japanese game without at least one person having a really deep voice.

  • It's times like these I wish I spoke Japanese.
  • hope they'll release that this year. D:

  • Hopefully they atleast bring Persona 5 to the US.

  • Sweet merciful heavens... I cannot contain my excitement for this game!  I do hope they get the English cast to reprise their roles here.  It is a bit odd hearing them in Japanese.

  • Just says you'll release it in America already!

  • Mitsuru! I have a figurine of her on my shelf, along with another one of Yukiko. Can't wait for June. I just wish they could also bring back the female protagonist from P3P.
  • I'm REALLY getting a Scooby Doo vibe from this game. Could be fun.

  • I want this localized so freaking bad!!!!!

  • Whaat!? Those trailers are mature content!? Even I play Persona games!? Since I'll definitely get this game to play it, wahahaha! >:D

  • I hope the fightscenes aren't too drawn-out like they look in the trailers, but at least the music is still god-like.

  • The only thing that makes me sad about this game is that, for some reason, they cut out the female protagonist option. I guess it's to fit in line with the Persona 4 story, but frankly, it would have been nice if they didn't do it there, either, because they didn't have to in order for it to work. It's just disappointing to have been presented the option in P3P, only to have it taken away in subsequent games.
