The lights are on
It wasn't so much exclusive to Japan as much as it was simply unannounced for North America, but Capcom has confirmed that Turnabout Return, the DLC case and costume pack will be coming to the west.
This is the first time Phoenix Wright will feature 3D polygonal models, so it's the first time costume packs will be an option. Costume changes are difficult for 2D sprites.
Capcom has no release date or price for the DLC, but Dual Destinies will release this fall. For more on Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies, a game whose title has both a colon and a hyphen in it, you can check out the latest trailer. You can also check out our latest preview of the game by heading here.
Be sure to check out some screens from the DLC in the gallery below.

I cannot wait for this game!
I'm all for that DLC case, but I could care less about a costume pack. maybe if it were a game where the characters are on screen all the time, it'd be a different story.
I'll get it.
Defending a killer whale and here I thought Polly was the most insane thing ever xD!
There's an orca with a mustache. I'm sold.
Why not? It's Ace Attorney!
Finished Apollo Justice for the first time a couple days ago, so I'm ready for Dual Destinies. Bring it on!
I don't know how I can transition to a game whose previous entries were complete and packed with *enough* content to a game now fragmented into DLC and now suffers the gimmick of "costume packs". I can see how breaking the cases up into episodes could work but this direction of gaming is taking over many of my favorite game series and I just don't know how to adjust. Actually I don't want to adjust. This alludes to the dreaded DLC debate and I don't want to get into that...I like Ace Attorney too much to see the ugliness that is DLC marketing.
Costume packs for a.... story driven detective visual novel....of course.
