The lights are on
Surely you've heard of Beastly? This modern, high school-centered
take on Beauty and the Beast arrived in theaters earlier this month.
And there's a game based off of it. And we played it. All of it.
A couple of years ago Demon's Souls got a ton of hype for being
incredibly difficult. Could its spiritual successor, Dark Souls,
actually be harder? I called Reiner down to the recording room to show
off a section slightly later in the game that may be one of the most
deviously designed levels in any game ever.
When Atlus stopped by the office with an early English build of
Catherine, I couldn't help but beg them to let us record some of it.
I've been intrigued by this game's weirdness since it was first

Sometimes Reiner and I hit a gaming jackpot where we get to check out
multiple awesome new games in a row, like last week's double-header of Mortal Kombat and Portal 2. And some weeks we get Man vs. Wild. Get ready for a weird episode, people.
The first Infamous was my personal pick for game of the year in 2009. I
loved the blend of open-world exploration, platforming, electrical
superpowers, and comic book storytelling. So obviously I was pretty
psyched to check out Infamous 2 with my buddy Reiner.
