    1. What is the latest version of the Android app

      The latest version is 2.0. It was released on 10/21/2016. It adds support for Android Smartphone in addition to Tablets

    2. What Android devices does Game Informer support?

      As of October 21, 2016, the Game Informer Android app will run on any Android tablet and Smartphone, running Android OS 4.0 or higher.

    3. I do not see any of my back issues on the mobile phone edition

      Mobile phone edition is available beginning November 2016 issue, you will not see any back issue prior to November 2016.

      iPad/Android Tablet edition was released on July 2012, you will have access to back issues all the way back to July 2012

      PC/MAC interactive edition was released on June 2011, you will have access to this edition all the way back to June 2011.

      There is also a Google Newstand print replicated edition available to our digital subscribers that began back in August 2012, you use the same login credential GI Digital account to access it. (see below for more detail)

    4. I am stuck, how do I access the in-app onscreen menu?

      Press and hold your finger on the screen. Onscreen menu options will appear on bottom of your Android Tablet, or on the left side if you have an Android phone

    5. Does Game Informer Android app support background downloading?

      The Game Informer Android app does support background downloading, however, you have to ensure that the Game Informer app is allowed to run in the backgruond while your devices goes to sleep, settings varied between different devices, please refer to your devices user guide.

    6. As a Game Informer subscriber, can I download the Google Play Magazine edition?

      Existing digital subscribers can now access Game Informer’s monthly Google Play Magazine edition.

      1) Sign in to your Google account and navigate to the Game Informer Google Play Magazine edition
      2) Tap "Subscribe" (don’t worry, you won’t be charged)
      3) Tap "For current subscribers"
      4) Enter the same email address and password that you created while registering your Digital Magazine account on gameinformer.com

    7. Do you offer a digital version of your print magazine?

      Yes, the Google Play Magazine edition is available to all subscribers. See above.

      Game Informer is also available on Zinio Newsstand and Kindle Newsstand. The content is a replica of our print magazine. Although they’re two separate products and we can’t merge your subscriber account right now, you could download that app and purchase the single copies while you’re waiting.

    8. I can't access any of my downloaded issues while offline

      Please update your app to version 1.9 or newer to restore this functionality

    9. I have a Nook HD+ tablet, does Game Informer support it?

      As of July 8, 2013, we no longer officially support the Nook HD+ tablet. However you can still install and run the app at your own discretion. All currently published magazines should be readable.

    10. I have a HD tablet. Why does the content appears soft?

      HD edition of the magazine was available starting on the August 2016 of Most back issues are published in regular resolution, not HD, so when the content is scaled it will appear soft.

    11. My issue gets stuck importing, or it takes forever to import.

      Please check that you have a strong wifi connection and let it run. It will take a while to fully download, as we’ve chosen to embed rich digital media content that pushes up the file size.

    12. I can access the menu, but I am not seeing anything in the store or issue library.

      Try clearing the Game Informer application's data and cache in Android's Settings menu. Relaunch the app.

    13. I can't sign in.

      Digital subscribers get full access to the Google Play app. If you are a current digital subscriber and have created a username and password on gameinformer.com, here are the steps to see your issues:

      1. Tap "My Account" in the menu

      2. Sign in with the username and password you created on gameinformer.com

      a. If you need help with your password, please click here to have it emailed to you

      b. If you need help remembering your username, please call us at 612-486-6100

      3. Tap "Sign in"

      If you’d like to switch from a Print subscription to Digital, make the change here.

    14. How do I remove issues from the app

      Go to the "issues" tab, you will find the "remove issues" button on the upper left. Tab and highlight any issues you want to remove, then tap on the trash icon on the upper right corner. Press done to finish.

    1. What is the latest release of the iOS app?

      The latest version is 2.0, it was released on 11/6/2016.

    2. Which ipad/iphone devices does Game Informer digital app support?

      The Game Informer Digital app is available on ipad 2 and higher for tablet running iOS 8 or newer, iphone 5 and higher for smartphone running iOS 8 or newer.

    3. I do not see any of my back issues on the mobile phone edition

    5. How do I remove/delete a downloaded issue?

      1. Launch the app, navigate to the Issue Library and tap on "Remove issues?" under the gear icon. You maybe asked for your login credentials

      3. Select the download issues you would like to delete.

    6. Does Game Informer iOS app support background downloading?

      The Game Informer iOS app does support background downloading, but if Wi-Fi connection is interrupted during download, you may have to redownload the issue from scratch.

    7. Game Informer App crashes when I try to download/read an issue

      1. Try powering down your ipad and reboot.

      2. Please make sure you have at least 2GB of free space on your device.

      3. if 1 and 2 still does not resolve the issue, try remove the downloaded magazine and redownload the magazine again.

      4. If no.3 does not resolve the issue, please delete the app and reinstall, the app data maybe corrupt.

    8. I have an in-app subscription, but why aren't new issues appearing in the library?

      1. Make sure you've updated your Game Informer app to the latest version

      2. Launch the app, navigate to the Issue Library and tap on "Missing issues?" under the gear icon. You maybe asked for your login credentials

      3. If you do not see new issues in the library, please force quit the Game Informer app (instructions here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5137)

      4. Turn off your iPad, power it up and relaunch the Game Informer app. Perform step 2 again

    9. I can't see any Issues.

      Once you are signed in (see the "I can’t sign in" help issue below)

      1. Tap Issue Library to see all available issues

      Note: Since each issue is especially created for the iPad, you’ll see issues beginning with the July 2012 issue moving forward.

    10. I am stuck on "Loading...".

      While this rarely happens unless your Wi-fi reception is poor, if you are stuck on "Loading..." you can try the following:

      1. Quit the Game Informer app completely (you can do this by double-tapping the iPad's home button and swiping the Game Informer app's preview). Power off your iPad. Restart, relaunch the app and re-download the issue

      2. Uninstall the Game Informer app and reinstall.

    11. I can't sign in.

      Digital subscribers get full access to the monthly tablet app. If you are a current digital subscriber and have created a username and password on gameinformer.com, here are the steps to follow in order to sign in and see your issues on your iPad:

      1. Tap "My Account"

      2. Sign in with the username and password you created on gameinformer.com

      a. If you need help with your password, please click here to have it emailed to you

      b. If you need help remembering your username, please call us at 612-486-6100

      3. Tap "Sign in"

    12. I cannot hear sound on the embedded movies.

      The most likely reason is the audio on your iPad muted. To check if this is the case, toggle the switch on the upper right side of your ipad. Use the adjacent volume control buttons to turn up the sound until you can hear the videos. If you ipad does not have a physical mute button, please bring up the iOS built-in control center by flicking your finger on the bottom the screen upward, make sure the mute button is disabled

    1. What are the requirement for reading Game Informer on desktop

      You can view Game Informer desktop edition using any modern web browser, please make sure you have Adobe Flash enabled.

    2. I signed up but I'm not receiving my digital copies.

      First, check your junk and spam folders. Subscription emails are sometimes routed there accidentally. Add gameinformer-digital@gameinformer.com to your Contacts list.

      Second, ensure the email you're checking is the same email address you signed up with at the store.

      Note: You can always access your digital issues directly at gameinformer.com via the "Magazine > Read Current Issue" menu.

    3. I don't see a launch button. / The digital email brings me to the Subscribe screen. / I'm unable to view my digital copies.

      First, ensure you're logged into your Game Informer account.

      Second, verify the email associated with your Game Informer account matches the email you signed up for your Digital subscription with. Check that the email your digital notification arrives at and the email associated with your Game Informer account are the same. Steps for updating Game Informer online email can be found here: http://www.gameinformer.com/digimag/faq.aspx.

    4. I forgot my username/password.

      Reset your password here as well as view the username associated with your account.

    5. I see a gray screen. / The magazine doesn't load.

      First, try an alternate browser such as Firefox, Chrome or Internet Explorer. Ensure all Adobe Flash components are up to date on any browser you use.

      If this does not work, try logging out of your Game Informer account, clear your browser's cookies and cache and logging back in.

    6. I want my digital issue delivered to a different email address.

      Email gameinformer-digital@gameinformer.com and request an email update. Include your complete name, address, the email your digital issues are currently being sent to, and the new email you'd like to use.

      If you've tried all of these steps and are still having trouble getting your issues, email gameinformer-digital@gameinformer.com with your problem.
