The lights are on
In Infamous 2, protagonist Cole McGrath travels to the fictional city of New Marais (based on New Orleans) to find blast cores necessary to boost his powers. All the while, his nemesis "The Beast" is coming for him. Similar to how the first Infamous tracked days in the Empire City quarantine, Infamous 2 counts down the miles between The Beast and New Marais.
If you've got a PS3, then chances are that you've heard of Insomniac's Resistance series. Most of you reading this have probably already finished the game, but are still caught up its addictive multiplayer. I just finished the campaign this morning and thought a thorough review would be appropriate.
Whether it's the game's newly discovered adventure mode, the standard enjoyment of classic mode, or group play, Super Smash Bros Brawl (SSBB) has something to offer every Wii owner.
First off, there are A LOT of haters out there who have it out for The Conduit. Granted the single player was lacking at times, but it's nothing a sequel can't solve. The greatest flaw was the fact that throughout the entire game, there were only three characters...yourself being one of them. The AI system can use a tweak here and there, but if you find the game easy then odds are you simply need to increase the difficulty, a feature that's readily available in-game.
The trilogy is amazing and now it's finally packed all into one! Prime sets the story rolling with the birth or dark samus, and you get to continue it straight through to the showdown at the end of corruption. Plus with the Wii's aiming system, you get a whole new experience on the first two games that the gamecube couldn't offer. Some complaints talk about how the developers should have changed the first two games, but they've already become trademark classics. A little off topic, but still related, I would love to see a first person remake of Super Metroid at some point. I think that would be a perfect precursor to the Prime Trilogy. Way to go Nintendo, can't wait for Other M next fall!
