Hello my name is Taylor. I love to play games and have been doing so for 15 years. I am also born premature/early 14 weeks which has caused me to have a smaller airway then others so I have to have a tracheostomy. For those who don't know what a tracheostomy is then it looks like this.
I am a medically complex patient that acquired subglottic stenosis or the narrowing of the subglottic airway while on a ventilator. Along with this, I have many other medical problems that even I have a hard time explaining. Subglottic stenosis has caused me to have shortness of breath much like asthma just more severe. Because of the inability to be able to play "contact" sports or do should I say, regular activities, I have devoted most of my time playing video games which is a decision I do not regret. :)
I have owned every single PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo console starting with the N64, along with every Game Boy excluding the stupid Game Boy Micro. My first console was the Sega Genesis which I spent every second playing either Sonic the Hedgehog, Golden Axe, Mortal Kombat, Desert Strike, or World of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.
I love to learn about the history of games and I have a significant amount of knowledge about it. Including what caused the video game crash, why Mortal Kombat was demeaned, when Nintendo was founded, who all the Nintendo presidents are. Who Sony, and Microsoft's presidents are, and a slew of game companies and some information about them.
I am currently enrolled in high school and am loving it so far for my Junior year. Most people say high school was the worst part of there life but for me it isn't bad so far. After high school I plan on going to a community college for a couple years, then transfer over to the University of MN and get a masters in some computer degree, a bachelors in business, and further study in the Japanese/日本語 Language.
I hope to someday meet the GI team ever since I met them reading their magazine, I also would love to visit each of the big three game companies that are Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft or at least be able to say I was able to stand 50 yards in front of them. Another great dream of mine would be able to meet my idol Shigeru Miyamoto, who everyone probably knows as the greatest game developer of all time.
So for now I leave you with a friendly farewell and plan on updating this in the future.
Thanks for reading!
