"Life... Dreams... Hope... Where'd they come from? And where are they headed...? These things... I am going to destroy!!" - Kefka Palazzo
My name is James, but you can just call me widdowson91 if you prefer. I am a multi-platform gamer with an appreciation and love for games of all kinds. I'm also a collector, and a general video game fanatic.
“Critics who treat 'adult' as a term of approval, instead of as a merely descriptive term, cannot be adult themselves. To be concerned about being grown up, to admire the grown up because it is grown up, to blush at the suspicion of being childish; these things are the marks of childhood and adolescence. And in childhood and adolescence they are, in moderation, healthy symptoms. Young things ought to want to grow. But to carry on into middle life or even into early manhood this concern about being adult is a mark of really arrested development. When I was ten, I read fairy tales in secret and would have been ashamed if I had been found doing so. Now that I am fifty I read them openly. When I became a man I put away childish things, including the fear of childishness and the desire to be very grown up.”
- C.S. Lewis
Things that piss me off about modern video gaming: Micro-transactions. Day one DLC. Season passes. Exploitative free-to-play games. Online gaming subscriptions. HD remasters. Day one game patches. Games that are launched broken and clearly unfinished. The attitude of AAA publishers.
A list of the games I own can be found here. I used to have a similar list on my old GameSpot account. The list currently includes over 1400 games across over 30 pieces of hardware, spanning five decades of gaming history.
