The lights are on
Being a Florida Marlins fan you can expect three things every year. 1) Somehow the front office will be cheap and get rid of some guys that were major contributors the year before. 2) Seeing an empty stadium the whole year 3) They will get one of the worst "team" rankings in the years baseball game(s). I have come accustom to these. As I came home on Tuesday with this years version of The Show, I was excited to say the least about the Fish's ranking this year. Where would they rank among the other teams? Any ranking from 15 and down would have made me happy to be honest. As partial as I am, I'm still a fan of baseball and know they shouldnt be in the top 8. WTF????? 26th??? The Florida Marlins, a team that had 87 wins last year? The team that didnt lose any major players? The team that expects, (not hopes or thinks) expects to make the playoffs? The team that in Vegas or anywhere for that matter is a 15/1 favorite to take the series, and a 10/1 to take the N.L. pennant is 26th in the league. Teams ahead of them to mention a few are the Padres, Blue Jays, and Orioles. I know everyone thinks their team is number one but 90% of fans know that you have to be realistic as well. I'm sorry 26th is not acceptable. If Pujols, Rodriguez, Ramirez, etc. can carry a team ranking on their back, why cant the best all around player Hanley Ramirez do the same?
