The lights are on
I honestly can't disagree with anything our reviewer wrote about Unit 13, it's just that it doesn't matter for me. My buddy and I were looking for a Vita launch title that we could play co-op together, and, after playing through the demo several times, we decided this would be a great fit. Despite its drawbacks, Unit 13 still managed to be enjoyable through several different playthroughs of the same map, and that was all we needed to convince us the title would serve well as an initial co-op romp. Were this later in the Vita's life cycle and there were more co-op shooters competing for our attention, I have no doubt I would have probably passed on Unit 13, but as a launch offering it seems to possess enough entertainment value to justify its price tag, and will hopefully provide us with enough co-op fun to get us through until the heavy hitters arrive.
