Joseph is a high school English teacher. When he's not teaching his students, grading their work, or revising their essays, you might catch him hanging out with his "ka-ko-ee" japanese wife or his "ka-wa-ee" baby daughter. Oh, yes, and for him, it is all about the games.
He started gaming 20 years ago. His two older brothers wouldn't give him his turn at the NES playing Castlevania, Legend of Zelda, Metroid, or other classics. So, what's an 8 year old to do? He'd wait until that those two knuckleheads gave up in frustration, turned off the console, and left. Then he'd turn on the console, get to part where "the game cheated!", and dedicate himself to surpassing his brothers' progress. Thus developed his life-long love of gaming, while simultaneously labeling him as a "geek" to the older generation. It's pretty much remained the same for Joseph ever since.
While everyone else was making games, he admits he probably spent too much time playing them. But it's never too late - all those years of experience with the unforgettable characters and stories that tie all gamers together have compounded into a diamond of knowledge about what makes games great or ghastly.
It's time to start giving back a little. Joseph will try his best to put in the time to blog, comment, and review all he can on these forums from now on. Start a discussion with him. Send him a message. Pick his brain apart. I think you'll like what you get back.
