The lights are on
After some time away to get my Xbox 360 up and running again, I finally get the chance to start doing a little writing.
This post will be more about character relationships....
Hi everyone, if you can't tell right off the bat, this blog "Slay the Dragon" is dedicated to RPGs and hopefully I'll keep it up. To start off this week, I recently downloaded Final Fantasy VIII from the Playstation Network.
This is less about gaming than the other things I wrote, so be forewarned now.
Last night I got home, and do to the recent problems with my 360 (also listed in my blog), I started up my PS3 and began playing. Started off with a little bit of Fat Princess, then moved over to AdHoc Party and got started there. My friend and I played some Phantasy Star: Portable and then followed with Monster Hunter: Freedom Unite. While we were playing, we were also looking for more games to play on our PSPs in AdHoc or more fun MP games on PSN. Does anyone know of games that would work well as a 2 player co-op game?
While I was browsing the news, I'm starting to see a little more DLC, but has anyone noticed that Q1 of next year looks crazy...Note that some of these are rumored, but still that's a lot of games, and I probably won't be able to play all of them.
Like many people before me, my Xbox 360 has stopped reading discs......I'm very angry with Microsoft. Some people support Microsoft as much as possible, but we'll see how they feel after something terrible happens to them.
I don't know how many times my friends and I restarted the game, but we only collected 2 orange guns, and they weren't very good. However, that being said, this game still rocks, and with next weeks first release of DLC, Borderlands will have you keep coming back for more. I played for a couple hours last night on my 2nd playthrough, and I'll probably be finishing this playthrough sometime this weekend.
I got online last night and asked my friend if he wanted to play Borderlands or CoD4-2, and even though he'd been playing it all day, he wanted to play more CoD4-2. As most people have probably noticed, it looks to me as if there is little to no structure on how they set up the MP game. Since I only started recently and I don't have THAT much time to play, I'm only level 7. So how is it that I ended up playing against level 30s and 40s in some cases?
So last night I started playing the Single Player campaign of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare 2. Right off the bat, I really like this game, I think the mechanics are great, they nailed the FPS, and the dialogue and characters are rock solid.
So what did I get done this weekend?
For a number of years, I've always looked at the video game industry as a media giant that I've wanted to be involved in, So while I listen to podcasts and read reviews and news updates at least a few times a day during the work week, I start to imagine where I might see myself going.
