The lights are on
First of all, let me start out by saying if you don't get the update patch for this game, you won't be able to get the full experience of this game (and without it, I would've given this game lower score). Or at least get ready to get very frustrated with the constant tire punctures and unfairness of the AI that won't pit. Now to the review. This game brings you some involvement both on and off the track, with some race interviews, R&D development, and a great racing simulation. It is true you can spin out a lot even with all the aids on, so it is really recommended to get as much practice as possible (even if the practice sessions are somewhat boring for some, it really pays off to get the right setup and getting to know the track). Multiplayer online has some great modes ranging from a 3 lap quick race to racing through the whole season (some involving pre-race qualifying) But sometimes online can be a drag. I don't want to turn anyone away from this game but most races will have people playing dirty (which is not the prefered style of true F1 fans). Now be warned this game is not for everyone. If you're an F1 fan or just a big fan of simulation racing games there's a chance you might go crazy over this game, but if you're a casual/arcade racer however this game is most likely not for you.
First of all if anybody expects something other than a puzzle game is greatly mistaken. All previews/trailers suggested it's a puzzle game. And none of the puzzles were hard at all. There are three types, some involve precision skills, and some needs a little strategy (but nothing really over the top). The only thing that threw me off was not knowing both sides of the mirror can be used XD (hint, hint). I think the story's pretty good (but too short, as is the game). It's definitely worth to go through all routes but after that the game has very low replay value. For $5 it's just the right price, plus you get a special suit for the upcoming game Dead Space 2. Of course it's an even greater value if you get Dead Space Ignition for free by preordering DS2 (which I did :P). For people who go crazy about trophies... not to worry, they come by really easy.
