I've been playing games for a while. I started playing Episode 1 Racing and Mario Tennis on the N64 at my Grandparent's house, and then (according to GI's reviews) crappy Pokemon spin-offs on the Gamecube, and now I've come to playing obscure games like Gone Home and have become a member of GIO.
My turning into a gamer really happened while playing Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and the desire to learn who the characters from the series I didn't know were. So I chose The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess as my first game. Twilight Princess is now my favorite game of all time, and I have been pulled into the gaming world.
While technically the original Xbox was my first system, the first system I saved up for was the Gamecube. I only have 5 games (Pikmin 2, Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness, Super Smash Bros. Melee, The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, and Kirby Airride) for the Gamecube, but I love it.
Some of the underrated games that I play that I think everyone should: The Ratchet and Clank Future games, Bastion, Antichamber, Trine 1&2, FTL: Faster Than Light (Even though I really suck at it), Sly Cooper 4: Thieves in Time, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, Pikmin 2, Rayman Legends, Lego Marvel Superheroes, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, Super Mario Sunshine, and Quantum Conundrum.
If anyone has Dungeon Defenders, I would love to play with you. I would like to play through the game, but it's really better with friends. Same with Terraria.
I'm somewhat of an oddity in the gaming community, as I am a Christian gamer and I follow the ESRB. I feel like I'm the only one who follows the ESRB anymore.
Favorite series: The Legend of Zelda, Ratchet and Clank, inFamous, LittleBig Planet, Trine, Sly Cooper, Pokemon, Mario Kart, Fire Emblem, Arkham, and Psychonauts. (Because I believe that there is a sequel, somewhere.)
Top 5 games of all time:
5. Xenoblade Chronicles (Wii)
4. inFamous 2 (PS3)
3. Pikmin 2 (GCN)
2. Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time (PS3)
1. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii)
Games I'm excited for in 2014:
Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS
inFamous: Second Son
Mario Kart 8
No Man's Sky
Dark Souls II
Tales of Xillia 2
Team Ico, I will wait forever for The Last Guardian. Just don't disappoint.
