In October of 2001, I received my first issue of Game Informer magazine from the Gamestop at my local mall. The original Devil May Cry graced the issue's cover as I eagerly flipped through the pages, gawking at the seemingly limitless source of information I was lacking until that very moment. On that day, the course of my gaming life was altered forever, changing my pre-adolescent self from a dumb kid who judges a title's quality based on box art into a well-informed encyclopedia of gaming knowledge and history.
I would more than likely not be the gamer I am today without GI.
