Hey what's up you guys? Name's Marcus but you guys can call me by my user name The Monster Hunter, or Monster or MH for short. What about me? Well I'm a big gamer. I love playing video games, watching them, talking about them, and learning more stuff about the video game industry. I came here on GI.com to meet new people, learn new things, have awesome conversations, jokes, and an overall good time.
Outside of gaming I'm sixteen year old who is just trying to enjoy life and find out more things I'm interested in. Right now I like playing Tennis, drawing, watching T.V. (anime being one of my favorites), swimming and more that I can't think of right now to do. I wanna try archery and fencing (yes video games did influence those decisions).
I plan to be an active member and type up a lot of blogs, reviews, comments, and maybe a few guides here and there. I will try to type then as soon as possible but school, computer failures and procrastination will get in the way so bare with me on that. I check my profile pretty often so If you wanna know more about me or anything else just leave a comment I'll reply to it eventually. I'm open to any friend request you want to send me here or on Xbox 360 or 3DS.
Xbox Live: EVOL FIRESTORM
3DS: 2105-8646-2058; Marcus
If you wanna know more about me and my gaming history you can read this bog here to get to know me better
That's all I can think to write er.. type here. If there's anything you wanna ask me just comment here or send me a message.
Current games I'm playing: (Last updated: Tuesday, May 21)
Xbox360: I borrowed Tomb Raider from a friend. I also played a lot of Dragon Ball, Mass Effect 2, Borderlands 2, and even Dark Souls. A good week on Xbox
Wii: I haven't (and won't) be able to play the Wii for some time so I'm putting these games on my backlog until further notice...
3DS: I played Monster Hunter, Etrian Odyssey, and Tales last week. No Fire Emblem
Upcoming games I plan on buying:
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate progress log
Since Monster Hunter is a massive game and I'm going to spend several hundred hours in the game, I'm giving it it's own progress log. It'll be updated every Tuesday like the rest of the profile
Play time: 170 hours (yep, already over 150 hours)
Summary of last week: Created Nargacuga gunner armor, proceed to do more quests and gather materials for armor and weapons.
This week's goal: Continue through 4* port quests and 9* village. upgrade more weapons
My review score: As of the moment, I'm only reviewing 3DS retail games. Each game is give an 5 has to earn or lose points to get it's final score. What determines that is what impressed me, what disappointed me, what worked in the game, and how my play through went playing it. In each review I give a rough synopsis of the story, how the gameplay is, how the controls worked, how the sound track was (including sound effects and voice acting), how the graphics were, the overall value and content of the game, the flaws I spotted throughout the game, and finally a conclusion that wraps up the review. At the end of the review I put a Pros & Cons list which states the good and the bad and how many points were gained/lost. In the end it's totaled up and I give the final score. If I messed up something in the review please tell me so in the comments of the review( always appreciated by the way) or in my profile. If my review seemed wrong or bias, please note I'm not an professional reviewer, just a teenager who is stating his thoughts on the game.

Monster of the week
Monsters is a common sight when playing video games. Whether it's the iconic Goomba from Super Mario Bros., or a Reaper from Mass Effect, you should know your monsters and be ready to fight them with all your might!
Every Tuesday a new monster will be uploaded to this page with some background info and strategy on how to defeat it. All enemies are accepted, but bosses or any enemy that has some spoilers will not be included.
All MOTW suggestions are appreciated and will be used

Nibelsnarf
(Monster Hunter series)
A large desert Leviathan that can burrow underground and ambush prey. It uses it's huge mouth to attack and eat prey. Hunters can place bombs to let Nibelsnarf eat and then explode in it's mouth. You can then fish out the monster out of the sand. They are very weak to ice and thunder elements.
