My history with video games starts in the year 1995. I remember me and my older brother watching my uncle Pete play various RPGs, fighters, and "shooters" . I would watch uncle Pete any chance i got, the concept of escaping into a game and being someone and doing things i couldn't in real life excited me. I started with basic games such as Mario and Donkey kong, and then moved up to fighters such a bloody roar and tekken. The day I truly became a "gamer" was when i was six years old and i played Final Fantasy tactics for the first time. I sucked bad, but it was exciting none the less, and i played that game as much as i could until i came to understand it and could get past the first or second fight.
The first console "I" owned was a PS1 and i played just about any game i could get my hands on, especially RPGs (never played FF7 though). When i finally got a PS2 the only games we had were Rune: viking warlord and Final Fantasy 10 and i loved and played them both to death. Durring this time me and my friends were completely against the xbox and never would have humored the idea of playing one., but one day a good friend of mine broke down and bought one. Again only 2 games; Halo and hunters reckoning, after only a few weeks me and my brother were xbox people and never looked back.
I couldn't get enough xbox, Kotor, Fable, X-men Legends, Need for speed underground, halo, brute force, and so many more wonderful memories came from that black cinderblock of pure joy. Needless to say, when the 360 came out I wanted one so bad i would trade my little sister for it in a back alley (i didn't), but i was forced to wait a year or so, but when i finally got one i made up for my lost time with titles such as perfect dark, DOA 4, condemned, oblivion, gears and so on.
I'm just now getting out of a video game slump, and am excited to get back on the horse.
