Once upon a time...One of the key ingredients of any successful entertaining single player game is story. The flashiest graphics in the world coupled with the coolest toys imaginable won't save a game with a shoddy story. Besides a plot, a good story should have some colorful characters who engage in equally colorful dialogue, (not always though, look at Half Life - Gordon Freeman has never spoken a word); a good story should have a sense of direction so players know what they're supposed to be doing and why; a good story should draw the desired emotional response from the player.
To be honest, I haven’t given much attention to Microsoft’s
Project Natal. It’s not that I’m not interested, because I am very much
interested in it. But it’s still kind of early,
