The first videogame I ever played was called "Airborne" on an Apple Mac. It involved stick figure men dropping from air planes with parachutes and you shot them out of the sky from a stick figure SAM site on the ground. If you hit their parachute they would fall and splat on the ground. In hindsight, it was a pretty horrific concept. Airborne got me interested in videogames. NES, Mario, and Link got me hooked. I still love Mario and Link, but I've also grown up a lot since the 80's and love my FPS's, RPG's, open world action games, point and click adventures, strategy games and all the great mash-ups of these genres that we've seen lately. I also love FIFA soccer and have played every single one since the first was released on Genesis. I used to love Madden NFL and actually went a respectable distance in the Madden Challenge in 2004, defeating 5 opponents before being ousted by a rather dubious turnover. Unfortunately, I think all of the NFL games in this generation range from awful to mediocre. I am sympathetic to those who would say otherwise because I'm desperate to play a good football game too.
