This could take a long time to type... I think I'll stay relative to the site! I started gaming like every person should... as a kid being forced to watch his way cooler older brother play while you begged for a turn to be inevitably shut down. I loved video games so much, I would keep watching my brother play Resident Evil 2 even though it gave me nightmares and lead to my second of two phobias, clowns followed by nemesis (thank god no one knows my my face, I just gave the internet some leverage!). I would then continue to watch him beat metal gear solid over and over...and over...you get the point, along with Final Fantasy 7...I believe the beginning scenes of all these are embedded in my brain... the truck exploding, zombie in the backseat, the mysterious secret agent scuba diver under red lights in a wavey submarine, and that god damn train, reactor, and giant red scorpion robot that you leave alone when it raises it's back hand (tail...run-on sentence, whatever!). Then, the coolest video game character ever shown to me in the coolest way possible was link in ocarina of time at the very end when you're timed saving a princess and the castle is collapsing and my assumption is that the epic hero in green's name is Zelda. It all changed when I got a gameboy and was able to play pokemon and Harry Potter, and best of all A link to the Past. I would say my first encounters with my favorite video game character's were all cloaked in mystery and envy and it lead me to have stellar patience (lol) until I was able to save up money for my own system and games and explore the saga's of all my favorite legendary vg characters. Now, I've dabbled in all the classics, from mario and zelda, to halo, God of War, Assassin's Creed, and obviously MGS, Resident Evil, and Final Fantasy. My favorite RPG's however are Chrono Trigger and Suikoden 1 & 2. My favorite FPS is Halo followed by Call of Duty. My favorite video game character is definitely Link followed by mario, chrono, Raz from psychonauts, Master Chief. I'm looking forward to Assassin's Creed 3, Halo 4, and the release of Wii U (ZombieU looks fun). I'm really glad I tried Skyrim as It has easily turned into one of my favorite games with over 100 hours on it and I now keep my eyes peeled for Bethesda (mostly anything new from Todd Howard). I recently started computer gaming since I transferred to a new University and play a bit of Portal 2 and Fallout but mostly Amnesia: Dark Descent (it would sound so much better without dark descent lol, but seriously the freakiest game, so jumpy). And so now that I'm recently invested in Steam, I'm really pumped to hear about Big Picture. There is always more to say, but uhhh I think that's good for now! haha
