The lights are on
Edit: I had all of these wonderful reasons and links and videos for why you should come check out the GI vets this week, but the site had a hickup. So, instead take a link and come watch me and Stubbs do some Portal Co-Op. I'll fix this later.
I've had about a dozen ideas for blogs after I wrote my last one. Instead, the majority of my time has gone into doing something I've been trying to get off the ground for the last two or three years. Finally, after countless headaches and multiple occasions of begging people to tell me how it looks or sounds, I've got a stream going.
I remember the first time I became unhealthily obsessed with something that my parents would allow. Gaming and tv had their restrictions way into adolescence and if it wasn't for my good grades I probably never would have had the chance to experience any of the older systems. Sure, mom and dad liked to play games as much as the next person, but my mom did her best to instill some form of discipline. My dad? Well, he just went along with whatever she said like dads do. Thankfully, there was one activity they not only approved of, but encouraged as well and that was reading.
