Sorry everyone, I've been gone for a while now but I'm back and here to stay. I've been incredibly busy with school and other less scholarly things, like looking to buy a new laptop, which has kept me busy for a while. Well, since I'm back, I'm going to celebrate by reviewing my newest games: Borderlands!!! Okay, if you don't like fetch quests and "Kill this many guys" quests, stop reading now. Seriously. It's not worth your time. I love the game personally, but I can deal with that kind of thing. If you can take these type of things, this game is incredible. I adore this game personally for it's clever writing, it's fun and gory graphics, and it's interesting mechanics of RPG and shooter. That is actually another sticking point about the game, however, because there isn't much RPG in it. You shoot things until you level up, you get more health and can assign a point to a skill, and that's it. I suppose the questing is more on the RPG side, but the gameplay is strait shooter.
Hey I just wanted to give my impressions... on the impressions of other people on Divinity II. This game looks to play a lot like Fable except for one small detail: you can turn into a dragon. Yes you heard me right. A large freaking dragon at that. The game also has an interesting take on the choices of the Fable series. Instead of two choices, one good and one evil, you can make lots of choices, from good to evil to worse. Taje this example: A woman is married, buy she loves another man. Do with this what you will. One thing you can do is read the husbands mind, which reveals to you the location of a note. The note tells you about the husband murdering his wife's first love. You can them black mail him, collect the money, and kill him and everyone else involved. Or, you could start off by killing him and the wife will run away to the man she loves. Interestingconcept if you ask me. Anyways, that's all I have for now.
First off, I apologize to all of you blue grass fans. Just because you like crappy music is no reason for me to patronize you. Now, on the important stuff. Today, I played the demo for Brutal Legend...
Alright, I'm going to start off with a little background on me and my gaming history. I first played a game when I was around 4. It was a little game called Super Mario Bros.; perhaps you've heard of it? I loved that game and I truly think that is the sole reason I still game today. Anyways, on to some more modern gaming. I'm really excited about three games: Modern Warfare 2, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, and Assassin's Creed 2. First off is Modern Warfare 2; If you have not heard of this game yet, just search for it on youtube. I promise, no, I guarantee that your mind will be blown. This game has it all, plus some. It has both an incredible looking multiplayer and a gorgeous, inventive singleplayer, an amazing graphical upgrade, even surpassing Call of Duty 4, and more multiplayer perks and add-ons that we love. All in all, this looks to be an FPS fan's dream and I honestly don't blame the game designers who pushed their games back to stay out of its way. This beauty will be coming out to the 360, PS3, and PC
