Who You're Stalking:
My name is Lisa. In most internet circles I am known as "Silvershine" or "Silver," a name I have responded to since I was 14. I am a Christian, a writer and a gamer.
I am a relatively boring member of society. I have had a number of jobs, but nothing too thrilling. I have always lived in the south but have no accent to speak of. I have no artistic capabilities.
But sometimes I can be intriguing. I have lived on the other side of the world for 3 months with 6 other people I didn't know. I have a natural affinity to computers and dogs. I have been told I have a way with written words. I would rather talk about a book or video game than anything that was on TV or in a popular magazine. I look up to people of whom most of the world is unaware of. One day, I will have a career in the gaming industry, writing or law enforcement.
My Virtual World:
I have been a backseat gamer to my brother for as long as I can remember. My first console was the Nintendo Entertainment System. I recall playing games like Contra, Bubble Bobble, Excitebike, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and, of course, Mario. My favorite gaming peripheral to this day is still the Duck Hunt gun. Unfortunately, we got rid of our NES a long long time ago, including our gold plated Adventures of Link cartridge.
We skipped over the SNES era and started back up with the Nintendo 64. My brother and I spent hours fighting through the dungeons in Ocarina of Time and shooting each other in Goldeneye. This is also around the time that he got into PC gaming and I would watch him play Monkey Island, Diablo, Neverwinter Nights and Command & Conquer.
I remember a discussion around Christmas time of my brother wanting an Xbox and myself wanting a Gamecube. We got both. This led to more hours of Splinter Cell, Animal Crossing, Knights of the Old Republic and Super Smash Brothers Melee than I care to admit.
Later, my father bought me a Wii with a Guitar Hero World Tour full band kit in exchange for working for him over the summer. After that I bought my own Xbox 360 and took it back to college with me. I received a Playstation 3 for my 21st birthday and a Zelda themed 3DS for Christmas of that same year.
My console of choice is definitely the Xbox 360, since I am most comfortable with that controller and most of my gaming collection is for the 360. But I am not a fangirl, I can appreciate all of the companies and their consoles.
