The lights are on
1. Metal Gear Solid
I've noticed a trend recently amongst gamers. When it comes to purchasing a game, story is becoming a main component in determining a gamer's purchase of a game. So much to the point where if the gameplay is great but the story's mediocre then he/she will pass on it. I really hope that developers don't sacrifice gameplay for story. I've got some friends who only play certain Japanese RPG's strictly for story. They despise the gameplay!! Now I'm all for a good story but let's remember that we're PLAYING video games. We're not watching a movie or reading a book. Of course we want both but gameplay needs to come 1st.
