I have had a, shall we say, eclectic life up to this point :)
I hail from a small suburb of Kansas City where I have lived the vast majority of my life. After high school, I worked various dead end jobs and partied the nights away before I finally decided that I hated my life and it was time to go back to school. I had made attempts at school before, but they were half-hearted and unsuccessful.
This time around my voyage to Wonderland, I decided that it was time to knuckle down, find something I had passion for, and invest myself fully. I found my home in the broadcasting and new media department at my university and I dabbled in about everything I could get my hands on: on-air talent at the radio station, the student run newspaper, the independent filmmakers club and writing advertising and underwriting spots were just a few of my highlights.
On April 29th of 2012, at long last, I walked across the stage to be awarded my B.S. in broadcasting and new media (though my actual degree came weeks later after they made sure my bills to the university were paid).
Since graduation, I have had to deal with the rather harsh reality of the job market. There is nothing quite so sobering as coming to the conclusion that a degree you spent thousands of hours and tens of thousands of dollars on might as well be printed on a cocktail napkin to many potential employers.
I finally ended up finding a position working in design for a political campaign. Even though I am pretty much 180 from the belief structure of the campaign, I had gotten desperate to the point that I would of taken almost any job. At least I only have to put up with it until the election.
Also (and I suppose I am a glutton for punishment) but I have recently enrolled to graduate school for a masters in business administration part time.
Gaming has been the one consistent throughout my life and all its various twists and turns, and I am supremely confident it will stay with me til the end of my days. I do have other hobbies like staying fit, rollerblading, music and gadgets, but they always take a back seat.
