The lights are on
I recently started chronicling my experiences coming back into the world of comics after a 7 or 9 year hiatus. (I still am not completely sure when I stopped collecting/reading.) Today's episode brings us, not frustration, but jubilation. Why so jubilant today? Glad you asked. Allow me to explain.
Sunday, I made a decision to go somewhere I hadn't been in years, I went to the local comic shop.
Once again a government attempt to regulate the game industry has come into the spotlight, thanks to California Assembly Bill 1792 and 1793 being called to the floor of the higher courts.
Recently, I posted about my new found passion for online FPS. Specifically, Battlefield: Bad Company 2. This game is awesome, and the multi-player is mostly phenomenal, with a few exceptions. Namely poor decision making on the part of my squad and team members.
Guys, I've got a confession to make. In the big push for online multi-player, I've been sitting on the sidelines. Not for fear of getting my butt handed to me, and not because I'm some solo campaign loyalist or anything. truth is, I've always lived in the sticks. Multi-player has been a non starter for me, because it just hasn't been available. That is until this last year when my wife and I bought a house closer to her work, and suddenly I've gone from a connection so slow and weak, that if I started loading a page I could cut my finger off, go to the hospital and, if I was very lucky, have my page loaded by the time I had it reattached and back home. (That's just a theory, I never really tried it before.)
