Ahoi hoi folks! I'm a big gamer but as I get older I find myself with less time to keep up with the latest games. I have such a huge list of games still to play from the past 6-8 years that I must play. I'm slowly going through my giant list and having difficulty keeping up with that and what's new. I spend a fortune on getting new games to play.
I have a strong preference for games with an actual plot in campaign modes, with exceptions to casual games like Plants vs Zombies, which really didn't need it. Examples of games with good plot include GTA: Series and the Prince of Persia Series. There's better examples but those are the ones that just stuck out right this second. I'm not a big fan of RPGs, so I don't really like Final Fantasy or Xeno saga or all those weird long-run games from Japan.
I used to play a lot of RTS but not so much anymore, my favourite of those was Total Annihilation and Starcraft/Command & Conquer for their intricate plots and hilarious cutscenes. Nowadays I focus on the big summer hits, so I'm still catching up on games like Bioshock, HL2E2 and so forth.
In my spare time I love all things movies and television. I can't stress how much I love television, it's just so much fun and easy to get LOST (pun intended) in it all. What's worse is I'm starting to watch TV online which is really bad because it cuts into time I should be spending on playing these games and getting through them. My taste in movies is a bit odd..I like all those really stupid blockbuster action movies but I like them only as a see them once and then forget about them. I prefer movies with good acting, which you really won't find in most action films so I watch some international films from time to time or smaller films.
I'm not a big multiplayer kinda gamer. I play WoW occasionally, but moreso Battlefield Heroes which is fun but starting to get a little repetitive. Yea so that's me in a nutshell - gaming from the earlier days.
