I havent played too many (if any) RPG games,so i cant say TES:5 Skyrim is the the greatest RPG ever...but it surely feels like it. First off this game is SO vast i am going to have to break the reveiw into parts.THE STORY.-I havent played any Elder Scrolls game,but i found (and heard) that this is the best one.It is about a person(your character) who is "Dovakin"(dragon born) destined to kill all dragons.I wont get into any more details but it gets pretty interesting.And once you beat that story there are TONS of others.You could join the Dark Brotherhood,join the Stormcloaks,chop some wood,assasinate a person,steal some money,become a werewolf, and TONS more.I cannot emmphesize the word "tons" enough,there are really unlimited amounts of missions after the main story.I also found my self getting side tracked,even though i wanted to do the main story.And yes,the side missions have great story lines themselves too,some better then other games!And to find these missions you might have to travel to different locations,and there are a LOT! As of this writing,i have played +70 hours into Skyrim and found about 150 different locations.And thats not even all of them!(To my estimation,there are over 200!)
Halo is one of the greatest franchises,shooters and stories in all of video game history and there is no arguing about that.And Halo Anniversary isnt really new by any means,but if you make one of the greatest shooters in HD,then you already have a great game.The gameplay is the same and the multiplayer is still amazing.But when you add Reach's gameplay style to Halo's old maps...it truely is epic.Especially since they have a classic mode to relive the old school Halo gameplay.The game comes with 6 new maps to Reach's multiplayer and 1 new Firefight map that adds A.I. partners.And you have the option to choose the option of the new music or the classic music(which is better in my opinion).So overall,this game isnt really a remake,but just adding a "new coat of paint" to an already epic franchise.
The Gears franchise has to be one of the bloodiest and funniest franchises ever.The only thing that i think struggled a little in the franchise was the story.The first game is dark and semi-interesting.The second game was more interesting and epic.And the third game takes a little of both.The story is so great,the voice acting rocks,makes me feel like i am watching a movie when the cutscenes show up.Plus its incredibly epic!You fight a HUGE fish monster the first 30 min!And you fight more of those size monsters a few more times too.It is also mildy funny, and pretty dam sad.There is one part in story that made me almost bust a tear,and you will know when it happens.And i was always curious to what happend next,and it goes at a great pace,never was bored.Plus the campaign is long.I played about 10 hours of campaign and im in the final act! So its probobly like a 12 hour campaign(I was playing on Hardcore).The multiplayer is outstanding,could put COD and Battfield to shame.Why you ask?It just FEELS so smooth,and the maps are great,not to many new weapons,but they are sweet.And then you have Beast mode,which is the oppisite of Horde.It has you play as Locust and you (with 4 other players online) have to kill humans(CPU) in a minute or less.It becomes progressively harder by adding turrent,more enemies,etc.Then Horde mode is the same except you could buy weapons,turrents,barriers and more,plus upgrading them.And every 10th wave you fight bosses such as Brumaks,Berserker,etc.And the campaign is also playable in 4 player co-op.And everything listed above is playable online.So overall this game is a TRUE sequel,packed with so much stuff that it shouldnt be legal.
The title may indicate the game is a bust, but its anything but.Yes,the game really did emphesize on the SMART/Parkour movement making me think Call of Duty+Mirrors Edge,which on paper is a GREAT idea...but,your movement doesnt really effect the game to much.I mean you could vault over tables,or climb over walls(which no other FPS offers)but its not to smooth.But the gameplay is something else...i was surprised when i started to fire my weapon at enemy,controls feel good and i like how the game is more teamwork then working for kills.And there is TONS of custimazation...you could custimize you character(either Security or Resistance-i will get more into the story later),weapon to excessive amounts.Your character can be a LIGHT(fast,low health,climb higher obstacles),MEDIUM(average speed,average health),and HEAVY(slow but can use heavy weapons,and lots of health)-then after that,you could make your guy look like a ganster,a cowboy,a future soldier and MANY, MANY more!The story seems great at first(Future city called "The Ark" is dying and you could save it[Security] or escape it[Resistance].But sadly,thats all you really find out about the story...there are cutscens during the game but,it makes no sense and the idea of the story sounded great but sadly is very bad.So overall this game isnt what i initially expected but is still good.
Epic is such a great video game creator and they do not dissapoint with Bulletstorm.The campaign is pretty long(probobly 7-8hours)but the length does not matter.The real question is does the campaign stay fun and exiting for the whole way through???The answer...a DEFINATE YES!The story is pretty cool:Space pirate out to seek revenge on old General who betrayed him in his early years.Some people might say the story is "blah" but i was really looking foward to what happens next,then again almost everything interest me.The story is very "hollywood-ish",there is a lot of "he survived that?Really"moments.But it is a GAME so i thought of it as "why SHOULDNT that happen".Online is good,but not a choice for everyone.Its like Gears of War's Horde mode,but instead of just surviving,you have to rack up a certain amount of points to get to the next wave.so you really have to work together,which is pretty cool,but sometimes i wish i was just playing a survival mode.Then there is Echoes mode which takes the EPIC-EST momments from the story and you choose your favorite weapons and try to get as much points as you possibly can.I find this as probobly the longest lasting mode.
This game improves in almost everyway possible,i say almost everyway because the game becomes a bit more action-y,then scary.But just barley.The game is still very frightening...but not as dark.And if u read the reveiw from GI about how the game falls apart at the end..dont belive them because i just seemed more interested then anything.The story is great and very confusing..i HIGHLY recommend you play the first because if u dont the ending will mean nothing to you(stay after credits).The controls feel tight and good and the graphics are incredible,especially sound and lighting.the multiplayer was better then i expected..but it aint no Halo.But you rank up just like Call of Duty,and unlock new weapons,suits,etc...It was a great add-on and its real fun to play as Necromorphs.And besides the fact the the game is a tad less scary...the game is incredible.If you played the first and liked it...you WILL want to buy this.And if your just getting on with the franchise,it gives a "Before Dead Space 2"video so your not completly lost.Overall this is a MUST-BUY for horror fans,or fans of the series..with a campaign that has multiple-playthroughs,good multiplayer,and an intense story....this game is truely "a monster of a sequel".
I havent played to many Batman games but this one takes the cake.I never played such a smooth combat system and the story is incredible.Plus once u beat the game(stay after credits) you will probobly want to play it at least once more,but there are also challenge modes like survive 3 rounds of increasingly difficult enemies and survive as many rounds without getting hit.And there are a TON of hidden trophies and item,if i remember correcctly there are 200 something of them.The only issue i have with the game is the end of the story...it kind of ends too fast and the final boss is a great idea,but the fight is kinda lame.But overall the game is outstanding the story,gameplay,voice-acting,and graphics are amazing.The game would be perfect except for that ending.plus the ending makes you excited for the sequel.
Treyarch has been the the less-exiting side of the Call of Duty series but this time they switch things around by making one of the greatest story in gaming history and one of the funniest multiplayer in recent history.The story itself is outstanding,yes i would say its less epic then MW2 but barley,and the story in Black Ops is more realistic and makes more sense and has a great twist in the end that makes M.Night Shyamalan jelous.And the multiplayer which is very addicting adds some things that makes Black Ops actually a sequel.New weapons,maps,killstreaks are all new but they add more to that,instead of ranking up and getting new guns,perks,etc...you have to purchase these guns,killstreaks,perks,etc..with currency(money,credits) such as Halo Reach you get a certain amount of points a match that you can buy that new perk you been wanting or that new attachment.And the online is a lot more balanced,so no more noobing and no more stopping power and the end of QUICKSCOPING!!!And zombies is back with awesome new maps and a new theather mode(yet another thing they copied from Halo)So overall the campaign is outstanding best story or at least tied with Halo Reach(if you havent played Reach i HIGHLEY RECOMMEND IT)and the online is truely an elite.This game is the greatest Call of Duty yet and im pretty sure its going to be untill Black Ops 2.
Halo is an amazing franchise.There is no arguing about that.Halo Reach,at first,to me seemed like a dumb idea.Jetpacks,assasinations,and a story before Halo 1?Seriously?!But once i got the game and played the campaign,that was all i needed to make me love the game.Honestly the Campaign is worth the $60 alone.It honestly is the best Halo story yet and probobly ever.It has one of the most amazing endings of video game history.And the story gets to you, after i beat Halo Reach i felt very depressed.The story was outstanding,couldnt of been done any better,its honestly amazing how the Spartans think there going to win...but sadly dont.The other thing that makes this game epic is its multiplayer.This is the most fun i ever had playing a video game before.great gametypes,awesome new weapons like the neddler rifle and the DMR.The multiplayer will honestly last you forever,because of the online,firefight matchmaking,Campaign machmaking,Forge 2.0,custom games,and theather.There is something for everyone!!!The only bad thing about this game is i am going to spend to much dam time playing it!!!So this game is a must buy for Halo,non-Halo fans.One of my friends hatted Halo.He played Reach and cant stop talking about how epic it is!So you gotta buy this game its most likely Game of the year and Bungie's farewell to the greatest game franchise ever,HALO.
The first Kane and Lynch game was almost forgetable,ALMOST.KaL2 is almost the same as the first,bad campaign original multiplayer.The only KaL2 did better this time around is WAY better controls,controls that are actually playable.And more online mode.Fragile Alliance is back,but two new modes called Cop and Robbers,and Undercover Cop add a bit of spice to the game.I say again that i am VERY dissapointed at GI not just for giving it a 6,because it certainly higher then a 6,but for calling it worse then the first one.Thats just rediculous.I mean they have better contrlos with pretty good online,thats 2 things that the first one lacked,so how the f**k is it worse then the first one???I..I...i just dont know whats wrong with GI.
This game is so fun,with so much music and insruments.The guitar is personally my favorite but there is drums,bass,and if u like karoke vocals.In my opinion RB2 is better then guitar hero because there are about 90 songs on disc,PLUS over 500 songs to download online and some are free. thats more songs then all guitar hero games put together.the graphics are good,sound is best in any music game to date,it will entertain you for years to come or at least till RB3.I gave it a 9.5 cause it has so much music maybe TO much music but all in all its a great game and a blast to play with friends during a friday night.
this game rocks your socks with a campaign that makes you fight 10 story monsters and epic battles and with awesome multiplayer with TONS of maps and gory and i mean GORY gameplay like sawing someone in half witha chainsaw and steping on someones head and punches someones face in.this game is dam worth the price expecially the GOTY edition that comes with all the maps. so i highly recommend this game if Halo3 wasnt made this game would be the best 360 game ever.
