The lights are on
In 2010 gaming has had it's ups and downs but I wasn't expecting the following:
With the big holiday game season beginning which stocks will be worth getting now on the cheap, chance of possible growth, or with the market up is like jumping in front of a train.
According to figures from the NPD Group released late Thursday, sales of console game software in the U.S. fell 6% in September compared to the same month last year. Sales of game hardware slid by 19% while accessories — aided by the release of the PlayStation Move motion control system — jumped by 13% for the month.
People seem to think that the stock market is full of big corporations making money and the video game developers aren't getting anything right.
The California Law to ban "violent video game" law is adding on to what laws California and retailers already have and it could be one step closer to turning California into a Nanny State (where govt knows best) which has already has caused California to have a high unemployment rate, taxes, and be broke.
So I'm on IGN checking to see look at the release dates for Kirby, Mickey, and donkey kong. Of course the dumbest shovelware is coming out on the wii and I'm not talking about Just Dance 2.
I thought the laws from my last post was dumb but these are even DUMBER and don't make any sense what so ever. I got really curious and looked these up and I just couldn't stop laughing my @ss off.
Everyone is going nuts for the PBS event.
GI today posted on Microsoft's reason for their pricepoint on Kinect and their bundle. They made minor mistakes on the pricing but that got me thinking: What really is the better deal? Which system has the best deal on motion controllers (first party only)? Should we just stick to the PC?
