Hello All!
I guess I should probably make a little bio so that you know a bit a bout me (if you would like to read it, that is >_>).
I'm currently 28 years old. I live in Santa Cruz, CA, a beautiful little town by the ocean, buffered by the mountains on one side and the ocean on the other. It is my very favorite place in the whole world.
I love bicycling the very most, and I use my bike to get to work every single day (I'm so hardcore, I have a dorky rain suit, lol). I also love my husband and my daughter (regardless of their tendencies to be pains in the butt from time to time) and enjoy being able to share my life with two intelligent, amazing people.
And I love games. Oh, how I love them.
For me, the requirements of a good game is as follows:
*Must have generally pleasing graphics/art (not to be confused with "flashy eyegasm graphics*, as I still enjoy SNES art from Wario's Woods, Street Fighter, Mario All-Stars and Link to the Past).
*Must have reasonably simple and fun gameplay that is easy to grasp but can be built upon during the game
*Must have a generally easy-to-comprehend storyline that helps you get to where you need to go next.
*Must either have an option to minimize the blood-and-gore factor (come on, developers, I'd like to have an appetite, you know, sometime ever again) or pretty much be bloodless altogether.
*Well done anime-elements are always a plus (such as the art from Etrian Odyssey, Disgaea or Luminous Arc).
*Should be relatively long without being long simply because it is trying to make you run around a giant world aimlessly to add to the gameplay time ("Windwaker" I am looking at you!).
Now obviously I don't merely like video games, but also have a love for card and group games such as:
-Apples to Apples
-Set
-1000 Blank White Cards
-Literaria
-Cribbage
Word games are one of my favorites, and I absolutely love getting together with friends to basically burn the midnight oil with silly stuff and irreverent fun.
Anyway, that ended up being longer than I thought....so let me just say that I am glad you have stuck with the bio this long and would be super happy to be friends as long as you're a fellow respectful intellectual.
So long, and thanks for all the fish! :D
