Okay guys, it's that time of year. As you all know, I am a huge fan of indie games. I missed out on a lot of 2012's great indie games, (Hotline Miami, Botanicula, Torchlight 2) but of the ones I played, here are my 3 favorites.
1. Gunman Clive is a platform/shooter game similar to Mega Man. It is currently available for both mobile devices and 3DS. The game has a beautiful art style that I can't even begin to describe, fun boss fights, a variety of interesting platforming, and a slight twist on the classic 'save the princess' story. This is easily one of the best, and one of the cheapest, games to ever come to the 3DS. Rating: 8.75/10

2. Gateways is an interesting and hard to describe game. The simplest way of describing it is as a 2D version of Portal, though it also takes elements such as jumping on enemie's heads from games like Mario. It's currently available on both Xbox 360 and PC, and well worth the $5. Rating: 8.75/10

3. Little Inferno is easily my favorite indie game of 2012. A while after reading a few good reviews and hearing it was from the maker of World of Goo, I saw the game on sale on both Steam and the Wii U eShop, and I knew I had to buy it. It's a beautiful game, and while it's mostly about setting things on fire, the game is so much deeper than just burning things for fun! The only thing I'm angry about is that it came to iPad at 1/3 of the original price. Rating: 9/10
