I am a gamer, a Scout Leader, a corporate professional, a father, and a weekend firearms instructor.Random Facts About Me:1) I enjoy both Battlefield and Call of Duty for separate reasons and will never join a fanboy movement of either.
2) I like playing lots of game genres, but I never play MMO's because I know I will get addicted to them and play all night until it is time to go to work the next day. Well, SWTOR changed my opinion of MMO's and I am hooked. Though I am happy to report that I do get sleep, do go to work, and do still spend plenty of time with my family.3) I am a fan of family geneology and find it interesting to learn about the lives of those who came before me.
4) If I ever make a comment on a post that reads "On occassion, I like to eat cookies..." know that it is my polite way of telling you your contribution was useless.
5) I believe some of the most brilliant writing for television is done for South Park. Yes, the jokes are juvenile, but the writer's satirical take on our society is quite intellectual (at least in most episodes). They explore concepts of politics, religion, stereotypes, and social issues few other shows would even consider touching.
6) Scorpions make me angry. During 2011, I killed about 30 in my back and front yards and 2 inside my house. Eff you, scorpions!
7) My best shot with a gun was a .308 I put into the dead center of the bottom of a bowling pin at 700 yards.
8) I hate bowling pins.
9) I am a descendant of English Kings and Norwegian Vikings (see #3)
10) I taught myself to play the guitar, drums, and bass.
11) Both of my sons have Star Wars inspired names.
12) I tear the tags off of matresses.
13) My longest shot hit with a gun is a human-sized metal silhouette at just over 1,000 yards. I hit it with a modified Remington 700 chambered in a .308 Win Mag.
14) I originally went to college to be a doctor, but realized I suck at organic chemistry. Then I switched to english, but realized my career options were slim. I ended up in accounting because of an airplane, a Rubik's Cube, and a guy whose name I cannot remember (and no, I'm not trying to be funny with that statement, it is true).
15) The repetetive usage of acronyms in writing bothers me to the point where I will stop reading the memo/blog/book/article.
17) I will probably never write a blog about myself or my favorite games of 20XX simply because that isn't me and I feel that writing something like that, unless I am being paid to do it, is just weak.
18) I cannot put a finger on exactly why, but I'm not a big fan of anime.
19) I once tried to watch the Friendship is Magic cartoon. I lasted about two minutes before I felt the overwhelming urge to throw my television off of the wall and light it on fire. I haven't tried to watch it since...
20) I have a firm belief in the importance of owning firearms for personal protection, but it extends further than that. Some would probably call my view of their importance to be more...classical.
