Noobtubin8er was raised by rattlesnakes in the deserts of California where he honed his abilities to game on his Intellevision before the Nintendo Entertainment System existed. During the summer, as it was too hot to go outside for extended periods, he would play the NES when it eventually was released and owned just about every gaming system known to man, paying for them by mowing lawns, cleaning houses, and taking the occasional...contract job. Throughout his school years, Noobtubin8er excelled at writing, consistently scoring in the 98th percentile for vocabulary and writing skills in the nation while landing in the 78th percentile for mathematics.
As college approached, Noobtubin8er decided making money in writing would be difficult, and he had dreams of being rich and owning the largest gaming collection. As the hit man industry tends to have a short life span, he instead decided to go to school in Idaho to be a doctor. Unfortunately, nobody tests you on your inorganic chemistry skills before going to college and his dream was squashed by an inability to perform inorganic chemistry to save his life, let alone anyone else.
Noobtubin8er decided to spend two years of his life in service to his church and to others, shunning television, movies, video games, and even newspapers for those two years (which were the most amazing two years of his life). Experiences changed how Noobtubin8er viewed the world and he defied earlier testing scores and began studying accounting and international economics. While in college, he was married and began sharing his love of video games with his wife...who tolerates them to this day.
Noobtubin8er graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a minor in Economics. After graduating he and his then pregnant wife moved back to the desert in Arizona where he found a job and began a professional career as an accountant. Since then, he has had two sons who now share his love for video games. Noobtubin8er has become a recognized CPA in the state of Arizona and recently switched jobs to a company who develops some of the most amazing medical technology you can imagine, though still as a number cruncher.
Recently, the writing bug has hit Noobtubin8er again and he has begun writing his first novel, a fantasy/crime story that is still in its earliest stages of writing. Until then, you can enjoy Noobtubin8er's blogs here on GIO where he focuses his time trying to bridge the gap between gaming consumers and the businesses behind the games as well as the history of gaming that many newer game player shave missed out on. His favorite blogs however were taking his GIO friends and using them in XCOM and then turning the results into a multi-series story...this may come back someday...
