I'm Mike. I recently finished college, earning a degree in English with a concentration in creative writing. I am a full-time medical biller (essentially data entry, bogus and sad), and work part-time at my former high school as a substitute teacher (currently studying to get my teaching license, should I officially decide to explore that as a career option). I live in a small house I recently purchased, along with my girlfriend, her cat, and most importantly, Onslo, my gigantic, spoiled-rotten, black labrador retriever, who also serves as my best friend.
My life in a nutshell described above, however, is a fairly new concept to me. What isn't new, is my love for video games. I've been gaming since I was three years old, beginning with a Sega Genesis. As I have seen dozens of new ways to play between then and now, I sit today, with a new Xbox One, among my previous systems, and think to myself what a great time it is to be a gamer, whether you be playing Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo, or even iOS. I could not imagine my life without video games, and I have such high hopes, as I contently see gaming becoming more and more accepted into the mainstream of society today. Certainly, I have my preferences, but I have an appreciation for all games, because gaming is not just a hobby to me, but a passion, and I look forward to seeing gaming evolve further down the line.
