Overall, I'm a pretty laid back and quirky kind of guy. I proudly signed up to serve my country for 6 years, but that moment of my life has passed. I had actually intended on being enlisted for the long haul, but do to unforeseen circumstances, it just didn't work out that way. Regardless, I have no regrets. I currently spend my days raising my two small boys. I realize now that it's what I was born to do and I couldn't be happier.
Other than personal info, the biggest thing you need to know about me, is that I'm a die-hard Whovian. As I've been known to say in the past, it's my opinion that the creation of Doctor Who is the single greatest achievement in the history of televised broadcasting. Nothing has ever come close to being it's equal and nothing probably ever will. You are certainly free to disagree. One perk to living in a (somewhat) free world is that you have the right to be wrong. Calm down! I was only joking! sort of...
Congratulations! If you've made it this far, it seems that you don't find me completely irritating! Read on.
Now that we've gotten all of that out of the way and I'm done campaigning for the Doctor, it should be noted that I'm also a huge fan of comic books. In fact, it's a life-long hobby. My favorite superhero has always been, and will always be, a tie between Captain America and Batman. Sprinkle some Daredevil, Gambit, Flash, and Green Lantern in for good measure.
I consider myself to be a video game expert. Not an expert of the industry itself, but of games and gaming in general. What I mean is, I've played and completed many, many games over the span of just about every known console.
According to author and journalist Malcolm Gladwell, to become an expert in a field of study, it merely takes 10,000 hours of focus and practice on the topic at hand. If you believe that, then I've been an expert for almost two decades.
Aside from that, my personal opinion is that anyone who's been an avid gamer since that Italian plumber was still called "Jumpman", has earned the expert title. If you are reading this and happen to take issue with what I'm saying, then I suggest you...
Lol, seriously though, I've been a member of this site for a long time, over various profiles, but it took a while for me to really start making my opinions known. I'm just looking to get more involved in the community and share my exceptionally unbiased opinions. With that attribute becoming more of a rarity these days, I'm proud to act as a voice of reason in an unreasonable world.
I'm always willing to help out where I can, even if it's just asking for my opinion. Whether it's with gaming, the site in general, or anything in between, let me know and I'll do whatever I can to lend a hand. Now, here's a little Drizzt for your eyeballs.
Finally, I want to say that I always do the best I can to be respectful of a person's comments and opinions, but I expect the same in return. Follow that simple rule and we'll get along just fine!
Oh, and one more thing, try to have a sense of humor. People can be so uptight and defensive about the simplest things. Don't be one of those people who act like they've got something to prove. It doesn't do anyone any favors. Take a deep breath and learn to relax. :)
