My first game system that I could call my own was a used GameBoy Pocket. I played Pokemon Red on it--even though I had a hard time figuring out what to do because I was five. The console I had before that was my extremely old PC that I played kids games on like Carmen Sandiego and Winnie the Pooh when I was only two-years-old. Over time I played the Nintendo 64, an Atari, GameBoy Color, GameCube, NES, PS1, PS2, the Wii, the DS Lite and DSi, and then the beauty I call my Xbox 360. I wasn't necessarily addicted to gaming, but I was very fascinated by it. Because of my brother's affinity and love of gaming, I was able to get a large collection of games for all of the consoles I have now. I find myself playing more and more as the days go by.
The reason I am on Game Informer and commenting and adding to many different areas of the website is because I want to be a journalist for them some day. I want to work my way up by first practicing my game writing and then working on newspapers and gaming magazines as much as I possibly can. I love games and I think they're one of the most amazing forms of art, but I would love to write about them instead of designing (science isn't my thing). Hopefully someday, I can do something like this.
Well, ciao for now.
