I'm no longera glorified secretary. I've been promoted... to glorified personal assistant. With this promotion I now get to fetch coffee, manage someone else's schedule (along with my own), and make certain that this person is on time and prepared for EVERY single event of their life... so I'm basically a parent. The only difference between myself and a parent is that I get paid for what a do, and since I do it well... I get to enjoy the perk of being paid well.
I started off game with a 360 in about 2009... I enjoyed my gaming, but the primary reason I bought it was because the boyfriend I had at the time was a COMPLETE gamer. He was addicted and the only way I could seem to get any quality time out of him was by playing Gears of War. So I bought my own system so that I didn't have to sit in the same room with him. I would have punch him... multiple times. I swear, sometimes I was so angry from being shot in the back with a shotgun... I would get up and go into his room and punch him, steal his controller and then cause him to frag himself. That was satisfying.
Gaming itself was also satisfying so I branched out. I bought more games and then bought a Wii. The Wii was for entertaining people when they came over (and in a way was an attempt to save money... I was spending way to much on clubbing) and it's been a great deal of fun. I don't use it as much as I used to... so I guess I'm waiting to see if the Wii U is all that I am hoping it to be.
A friend then turned me on to pokemon, and I had to buy a DS so that I could get Diamond (bought Soul Silver as well). Sadly I did not play Black and White... so I have no idea what is going on in that realm, but I hear that Black 2 and White 2 are on their way. Yay? I am very excited about Pokemon Conquest, but then I love Dynasty Warriors, Samurai Warriors, and anything else I can get my hands on from Koei!
I really do love the 360 just because it has so many games that fit my personality type. I love Mass Effect, Fable, Elder Scrolls, Fallout 3, Dynasty Warriors 6... Bladestorm. I've found that I also like fictional shooters like Gears of War and Halo... (but the latter has gotten a bit old for me, and I have yet to play Gears of War 3) though don't expect me to play them professionally. If you horribly out match me... I leave. I just like to enjoy myself and getting headshot the moment I spawn is not enjoyable. What can I say... I'm a b*tch sometimes.
I ended up breaking down and buying a PS3 for myself as Christmas present in 2011. I'm not as impressed with it as I thought I would have been. So long as my 360 is working, the PS3 collects dust (unless I'm watching movies. Thank god for the blu-ray player). One exception to that fact was Heavy Rain. OMG! Did I love that game! I have a dream that one day Mass Effect and Heavy Rain will have a love child... and it's name will be Mass Heavy Effect... or it could just be Mass Effect 3 and I'll be pleased. - I wrote that years ago... and look how disappointed I was in Mass Effect 3. Let that be a lesson kids. Don't get your hopes up and you won't be disappointed... or get your hopes up and send angry cupcakes to Bioware like I did. Either way it doesn't truly change anything, so I plan on writing Mass Effect 4... I will do Bioware's job for them and pester them until they give me an interview.
I'm calling this...
OPERATION DESTINY
I'll get back to you with the details.
More about me? Ok... lets start with this:
I'm a relocated Brit. I have been living here in the colonies since 2008. It started off being a stupid, impulsive, rash decision... but now, given the economic state of Europe, my familia problems (meaning the surviving relatives I have are complete arses), and for the lack of a better place to be... I really like it here.
I'm a natural redhead, not a ginger. I'm apparently hot blooded, firey, and easy to anger... many people have told me I have fire in my soul and that it manifested in my hair. I like being told that... so I use it all the time.
I talk too much, I'm very opinionated, and I don't back down from a debate or an argument. I like to be controversial, and I enjoy taking the devil's advocate role. My primary initiative in writing is to cover things that I am passionate about, while doing my best not to let people know what my true stances on things are. I like to keep people guessing... it adds a layer of mystery.
I'm as Star Wars fan (duh....).
I'm also a huge... HUGE! fan of Bioware. I own every one of their games that I could get my hands on: KotOR, Jade Empire, Mass Effect 1 and 2 and all the DLC, Dragon Age: Origins and Awakenings AND all the DLC and I have ME3 on my list and DA:2 is paid off on preorder for the special edition thingy with all the spiff... yeah, I'm a bioware junkie (I blog enough about it that you'll see what I mean).
