When figuring out whether a game is satisfying or not, the only question I ask is; "Is it fun to play?" Being a gamer since the early 90s with Nintendo and Sega consoles, I only looked for one thing in my games - fun. I've played games without following the story with no problem because it was still fun. I've played games that - perhaps - weren't the prettiest or smoothest games with no problem because it was still fun. None of these things affect the way the game plays except for the actual gameplay. To me, "game" is synonymous with "fun." If the game isn't fun, the game isn't good.

This should've been done last year, but like my mother always says; it's better late than never. I felt it was a shame that this game didn't continue and I feel somewhat responsible being that I was the last contributor. Therefore this is... More
  • Change Is (Not?) Good

    3

If there's something I've learned over the past few years, it's that gamers don't like change. Something I've been confused about is that gamers really don't like change. You have any sort of alternations to the previous (aka "original") game and fans have a tantrum.

They say don't fix what isn't broken, but I guess you can't change a few things either.

Unless you avoided the news section today, you know that today the cover for the February issue was revealed to be LEGO Marvel Super Heroes. This news (of the game, not the cover - well - okay, that too) certainly caught me by surprise since everyone that knows Traveller's Tales (developer of LEGO games) is owned by Warner Bros. who, of course (unless you're unaware), owns DC Comics. You can figure out the rest, right? Well, I remained hopeful that this game would become a reality. Originally, I wanted this game to be released last year to coincide with the Avengers movie (and anything/everything that ended up having to do with it Avengers). Also, it would of been one heck of a year of LEGO games if it had joined LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and LEGO Lord of the Rings, but now that I think about it, seeing an actual LEGO Marvel game happen (WB and Marvel together) is really a big enough event that it could hold its own as the only LEGO game released that year (sorry LEGO City: Undercover, and whatever else LEGO games will come out this year). I'm sure those games (well, at least LEGO City) will still been fun, but however fun it is will now be nothing compared to how amazing this game will be.
