Seeing as my profile hasn’t changed much since a year ago, I
figured it was about time to spruce it up a little.
As of this writing, I am an 18-year-old Texan (born &
raised here) with an overactive imagination.
When I say this, I mean that whenever I experience or witness something
emotional (be it a joyful experience or a tragic one) I find myself thinking,
“Wow. This is powerful stuff. How could I incorporate this into a work of
fiction?” At times, I’ve wondered if this made me some sort sociopath who cares
more about art than real life. But I tell myself that it’s just another way of
dealing with emotions.
Some of my earliest memories involve playing Nintendo games
with my siblings and watching my dad play games on his PC. So video games have
always been a big influence on my imagination.
As I began to develop a taste for writing and drawing, games were a
source of inspiration.
Of course, being fresh out of high school, I need to think
about what career I want to pursue. Game development would definitely be a cool
industry to work in, but I’m not sure if it’s for me. My real goal is to work
in 2D animation, which I consider my life’s true passion. So on that
topic… if any of you know of any opportunities (meaning internships,
scholarships, recommended schools/courses, and the like) that would help me in
this endeavor, please don’t hesitate
to share them with me.
So... here are some video game references from Gravity Falls, a show you should watch.
