Hello fellow gamers,

I am vengeance! I am the knight night! I am...a scrawny college kid from the Chicago suburbs. While that may be not be as kick-ass as Batman(trust me it isn't), I, like many of you, have a passion for video games that goes well beyond the term "hobby". My first console was the Sega Genesis as a 5 year-old and I can vividly recall the epic adventures my little brother and I would have playing Double Dragon and Sonic. I still remember the incredible surge of competitive juices as I crossed the finish line and beat my older cousins in Mario Kart(tip: wait until you are in last place, use the thunderbolt to shrink everyone, win in dramatic fashion, repeat. A formula that has worked for well over a decade now.) While some may poke fun, I'll say it. I totally teared up when I found out Tidus found out that Yuna was going to sacrifice herself for the Final Summoning in Final Fantasy X.

All of these moments have been fun and memorable parts of my childhood, as much as movies and music were in past generations. I'm not always sure of what it is I will write about, but I can tell you it will be written with the same passion and dedication we all share for this ever-evolving medium.
