Seeing that article made my day knowing that my favorite publication isn't afraid to call out negative trends in the gaming industry today. Diablo III deserves everything it is getting and more.

Great GREAT article on Diablo III. In your Bio it states "and the early PC and console role-playing games solidified him into a lifelong gamer." it continues to say "Matt has great interest in the process of game creation and design" Yet you blatantly ignored the process of game launching when it came to your article ranting about how Diablo shouldn't be purchased (or at least that was what I got from it) You also helped some users decide not to buy Diablo. I do not think that it's fair what you did when you openly ignored the facts, made up false statements about Ips supposedly cutting a clients internet off for no reason (why would they do that?) and as a fellow gamer and as someone who judging by your bio seems to have mutual interests, I ask you to please think of the very real facts behind the launch of one of the biggest games ever and that I don't think it's fair for players to read your article that may be your own opinion but can be proven wrong with perfectly understandable truth behind the errors in Diablos DAY 02 of launch. It isn't fair to Blizzard nor the player that is ducking out of an experience that you have blown out of the water. I do not mean any offense or anything negative, and I hope you have a great day and I look forward to reading more of your articles as always. with great sincerity, Connar Floyd

Dear Matt, I'm sure you are a very nice guy, and I mean no offense or anything negative at all with this post. I just wanted to know: If the multiplayer is basically just training, than why is there any motivation for ranking up and building your character? It seems like it would make more sense if the training factored in to a monthly event where the entire online community takes on one massive threat. Does 343 plan on doing something similar to that? Thanks Matt!

Hey Matt, I know I'm kind of late but I have one burning question that probably won't be answered due to how many comments there already are for the Halo 4 podcast. In it you transcend the average internet reviewer's vocabulary and eloquence, and instead offer an inspired glimpse into the game that says much more about your enjoyment of it than your 9/10 ever could. I greatly appreciate this kind of sentence craftsmanship, as it does not come up on the internet nearly as much as it should. Just a few things that I believe you should have mentioned: I'm not sure if you knew why the halo anniversary did not have it's original multiplayer. The problem was that the networking would not work properly with the old engine, and there would be tons of lag, you can go back and play Halo CE for the pc, and you will experience tons and tons of lag. In addition, i think it would also have been worth mentioning that 343 industries released a Reach title update that makes the reach multiplayer play a lot more like Halo CE did. They have increased the pistol damage and range to almost what it was in halo CE. In addition to taking out the recoil on the guns. Overall though, good podcast.

Listened to the podcast today. Of course it was well written, accurate, the usual jazz. But the last paragraph where you describe what the escapism equation is missing was truly compelling. I'm hoping to be a video game journalist one day, so I write often. I was writing an article on escapism in video games but I refused to publish it because something was missing. You described in vivid detail what I knew was missing, but couldn't put into words. For doing this so effectively and succinctly, I thank you.

Hey, I just wanted to say that your article recounting your experience with Ocarina of Time was great.
