If this game was any good, the time control "gimmick" would be heralded as innovative, and an interesting spin on the hack-n-slash genre. And your description of plot is childish, saying that " she has to retrieve an artifact or save the world or escape or something". I get that you are trying to be humorous, that the story is SO boring that you cannot even remember what it was, but come on, grow up. It sounds like a kid in grade school complaining how shopping with his parents (maybe at a carpet shop?) TOTALLY ruined his weekend because he couldn't go skateboarding with his friends, or something of that nature. Don't get me wrong, I love gameinformer, and this does sound like an awful game (I could feel your disdain and contempt in the standalone paragraph "Ayumi is the worst character I’ve controlled in years"), but try and tone down the mocking superiority thing.
